Coimbatore: The three-day Raw Mat India 2026 exhibition opened at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex on Tuesday. The exhibition is a key sourcing platform for industries in and around Coimbatore.Coimbatore GST and Central Excise principal commissioner Dinesh B Rao Pangarkar inaugurated the event. Speaking after visiting the exhibition halls, Pangarkar said the expo had been organised to meet the raw material and resource requirements of manufacturing units in the region, enabling local factories to identify suitable inputs and support services under one roof.The exhibition features 80 stalls showcasing a wide range of industrial products and solutions. Exhibits include small fasteners such as nuts, oil-carrying rods, wooden packaging boxes designed for safe cargo movement, industrial paints and coatings, material-handling equipment, warehousing solutions and logistics services. Also on display are raw materials for factories, recycling solutions for industrial waste, factory-use equipment, steel storage cabinets and high ladders required for handling goods stored at elevated heights in industrial settings.Organisers said the event is aimed at facilitating direct business connections by allowing factories to compare vendors and procure requirements, while giving exhibitors access to qualified industrial buyers for product demonstrations and sales leads.Participants have come from Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The exhibition will be open from 10am to 5pm for three days.The inaugural event was attended by Raw Mat India chairman D Sridhar, CODISSIA president V Rengaswamy and other industry representatives.EOM
