COIMBATORE: C Dorairaj, proprietor of Pazhamudir Nilayam, has been unanimously elected as president of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, for the 2026-2028 term at its 92nd annual general body meeting held on Aug 19.Dorairaj heads Pazhamudir Nilayam, a family-run venture started in 1965 that retails fruits, vegetables, fresh juices, groceries and operates departmental stores. The business now has 14 outlets in Coimbatore, three in Tirupur, two in Erode and branches in Karur and Pollachi, serving over 1,000 customers a day per branch.He is a partner in Saraswathy Enterprisers, the holding company of Zone By The Park Hotel here.Dorairaj previously served as treasurer of the chamber from 2016 to 2020, its honorary secretary from 2020 to 2022 and vice-president from 2022 to 2026.
