Krishnagiri: The Q-branch police, along with the central intelligence unit, on Tuesday night detailed 73 Bangladeshi nationals staying illegally in and around Hosur.According to an official source, the drive to identify illegal immigrants was conducted based on credible intelligence about their presence in the district. The drive was carried out at Onnalvadi and Gokul Nagar, which fall in the Hosur town police limits, as well as Nallur Agraharam, which falls in the Nallur police jurisdiction.“Among the detained illegal immigrants are 22 men, 23 women and 28 children,” said Hosur deputy superintendent of police Balakrishnan. “We have provided them with official forms to record their details. Upon completion of all legal formalities, arrangements will be made to transfer the group to the transit camp for Bangladeshi nationals at Attur in Salem district.”(Photo: S Parthiban)
