It shows his character returning to Chennai after gender-affirming surgery to reconnect with her son from before her transition, and with her ex-wife’s family, who struggle to accept her in the Thiagarajan Kumararaja directorial. In the 2018 Tamil film ‘96’, Vijay Sethupathi played the leading role as Ramachandran opposite Trisha Krishnan who played Janaki.
