Chennai: An unidentified man jumped in front of a speeding truck and was killed near the SIDCO Industrial Estate in Thirumudivakkam on Wednesday night. Police said Mahesh, 30, a lorry driver from Kundrathur, was returning to Thirumudivakkam from Oragadam. When he was driving past the Electricity Board office roundabout in the SIDCO Industrial Estate, an unidentified youth darted across the road and came in front of the moving lorry. The vehicle’s front right wheel ran over him, killing him on the spot.Personnel from the Chromepet Traffic Investigation Wing rushed to the scene and sent the body to the govt hospital in Tambaram for postmortem.
