The seizure was made during a vehicle check in Vadavalli on Sunday
Coimbatore: City police seized 189kg of gutka products and 500g of ganja from a taxi during a vehicle check near Vadavalli on Sunday and arrested two men in connection with the seizure. Police also seized the car in which the contraband was found.The arrested have been identified as B Andrews, 41, of Madukkarai, and R Selva, 28, from Sivaganga district. They were apprehended when police conducted a vehicle check following a tip-off.The two were subsequently produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody. Police are investigating the source of the contraband and the intended recipients as part of the probe.
