Chennai: TVS Motor Company, a leading manufacturer of two and three-wheelers, has appointed Peyman Kargar, currently president of international business, as its director and chief executive officer with effect from Jan 27, 2027.Kargar will succeed K N Radhakrishnan (KNR), who will continue as CEO until Jan 27 and subsequently serve as a non-executive director until the company’s ensuing annual general meeting in July 2027.KNR joined Sundaram Clayton as a management trainee in 1986 and rose to head business planning and TQM, leading the company to become the first Indian company to win the prestigious Deming Prize. He joined TVS Motor as executive vice-president in 2004 and became president in 2008. He was elevated to the position of director & CEO in Oct 2018.His successor, Kargar, has more than three decades of experience in the global automotive industry. Before joining TVS Motor, Peyman Kargar was Global chairman and president of Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti.
