Prohibition enforcement wing police in Coimbatore city on Tuesday arrested three men for smuggling ganja in a car near Sungam Junction
Coimbatore: The prohibition enforcement wing (PEW) on Tuesday arrested three people for peddling ganja in a car near Sungam Junction in the city.The arrested were identified as P Manimaran, 28, of Podanur ; K Navarathinavel, 39, of Sundarapuram ; and D Harishankar, 28, of Sungam.They were apprehended after a team led by PEW inspector Miadit Mano conducted a vehicle check at Sungam Junction, following a tip off. Police intercepted a white car in which the three accused were travelling and found 4.3kg of ganja in the car.Police seized the contraband, along with the car and a two-wheeler used by the accused. All three were later produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody.
