CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister C Joseph on Tuesday Vijay congratulated the Indian women’s cricket team for their historic gold medal victory at the 20th Asian Games in Japan and gave a special praise to team member Gunalan Kamalini who hails from Madurai.In recognition of cricketer Kamalini’s remarkable achievement, the Tamil Nadu govt would award her a cash reward of Rs 75 lakh, the chief minister announced in an X post.Reaffirming the state’s commitment to supporting talented athletes, he noted that Kamalini’s success would serve as a powerful source of inspiration and confidence for the youth and women of Tamil Nadu. “I wish her continued success and many more milestone achievements ahead!” he added.
