He issued an urgent humanitarian appeal to diplomatic authorities in India, China, and Nepal, calling for expedited clearances and the deployment of specialized search-and-rescue teams despite adverse weather and deep debris.The visual of the spiritual leader weeping has triggered widespread concern across social media, with thousands mobilizing appeals to international agencies to accelerate emergency coordination and locate the missing pilgrims.The tragedy unfolded along the trans-Himalayan route near Gyirong on the Nepal–Tibet border on Wednesday. Sudden glacial outbursts triggered massive landslides and flash floods. Torrents of mud and boulders swept through the area, decimating critical infrastructure, including an immigration facility where the group was stationed.
