Coimbatore: A 27-year-old man, who went missing from his home a few days ago, was found dead on the Perur bypass road in the city, on Saturday.The deceased has been identified as V Manikandan, 27, of GM Nagar in South Ukkadam in the city. He worked at a local workshop in Kottaimedu.Police said the deceased had left his residence around 7am on Friday but failed to return. His family lodged a man missing complaint with Bazaar police station.Around 11am on Saturday, the deceased’s father received a call from his brother-in-law informing him that his son had been found dead on the roadside.Bazaar police wgo were alerted, recovered the body and sent it to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for a postmortem. Police have registered a case of suspicious death and are investigating.
