Chennai: A 42-year-old man was arrested after fellow passengers caught him for making obscene gestures and harassing a 17-year-old schoolgirl and her mother on a Chennai-Gummidipoondi suburban train.Police said the girl, a Class XI student at a govt school, regularly travels by train from Minjur to Ponneri along with her 38-year-old mother. On Saturday, a man followed them in the train and made obscene gestures and behaved indecently, causing distress to the duo.The mother raised an alarm and, with the help of fellow passengers, caught the man. He was handed over to Railway Protection Force personnel on duty at Ponneri railway station.Korukkupet railway police subsequently took custody of the man and identified him as Yesu, 42, of VOC Nagar in Kathivakkam.Police registered a case against him under two sections and arrested him.
