Krishnagiri: A lone wild elephant bathing in a pond along the road in the forest area between Anchetty and Denkanikottai, on Tuesday, drew curious motorists to stop and click pictures.The Anchetty forest area near Hosur in Krishnagiri district is home to a large number of wild animals including elephants, deer, and boars.Locals said wild animals are occasionally seen visiting roadside pits even during the day, in summer. “Motorists passing by stopped to watch the elephant bathing and took photographs,” said S Madesappa, a villager.However, the forest department has warned motorists not to park their vehicles or take pictures, to prevent human-animal conflicts.
