Chennai: The Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has fixed 5pm on July 23 as the deadline for submitting filled in applications for MBBS and BDS courses for 2026-27.In a notification issued on Friday, the committee said the decision was taken after considering the time required to scrutinise applications, publish the list of ineligible candidates and provide a grievance-redressal window for those found ineligible during scrutiny. The committee had earlier published the list of documents required for undergraduate medical applications on April 28 and opened the application window on June 29.More than 41,000 completed applications have been received so far, it said. The application window would remain open for another week following the declaration of NEET results on Thursday.The timelines for undergraduate medical counselling will be released by Directorate General of Health Services soon, the circular said.
