Season 4 will conclude the series
The update comes after reports previously confirmed that House of the Dragon is designed to conclude with four seasons. Although HBO took time to formally renew the fourth season, the network has now positioned it as the series’ final chapter, bringing the adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood to a close. However, with the close of this chapter, fans who have stuck with the franchise since ‘Game Of Thrones’ may just have to gear up for another heartbreaking end for House Targaryen.
‘HOTD’ showrunner on 2-year production timeline
Condal recently explained that the production schedule for House of the Dragon remains unusually demanding because of its scale and extensive visual effects work. The extensive post-production process, particularly the creation of the show’s dragon sequences and visual effects, has contributed to the two-year gaps between seasons.
