KRISHNAGIRI: A 35-year-old physical education teacher was arrested near Hosur on Wednesday morning on charges of attempting to rape a 45-year-old woman.Kuzhandhai Yesu, a resident of the Thammampatti in Salem district who works in a private school in Hosur, attempted to rape the woman when she went to tether a cow in a field in Koosappankottai village. Yesu approached the woman in a drunken state, stripped her, grabbed her by her arms and tried to rape her.On hearing the woman’s screams, her relatives rushed to the spot, caught the man, assaulted him and handed him over to the Anchetty police.Based on a complaint, police investigated and arrested him. He was remanded in judicial custody. “
