KRISHNAGIRI: A farmer was abducted by two men who arrived in a car near his house at Kelamangalam in Hosur on Friday night. Police have registered a case and launched an intensive hunt.The abducted farmer has been identified as Gopal,58, of Anusoni village near Kelamangalam.According to sources, two unidentified men arrived near Gopal’s house in a car bearing a Kerala registration number around 7 pm on Friday. They called him out of his residence under the pretext of striking up a conversation. Moments later, the duo forcibly pushed Gopal into the vehicle and sped away.The incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera. Gopal’s wife retrieved the footage and lodged a formal complaint at the Kelamangalam police station.Based on her complaint, police opened an investigation to determine the motive behind the abduction. A special police team has been formed to rescue Gopal and apprehend the culprits.
