Coimbatore: Central investigation unit (CIU) officials seized gold paste, foreign cigarettes and vapes from a passenger at the Coimbatore international airport on Saturday.The passenger arrived from Sharjah by Air Arabia G9410 in the early hours of Saturday. Officials found 50,000 Esse Change cigarettes, 80 Elfbar vapes worth ₹8.76 lakh and 93g of gold paste in his checked-in baggage. He was apprehended when officials were involved in a regular check.Officials seized all the items and detained him for further investigation. Further investigation is underway.
