Chennai: A married couple was found dead in their house in Padi on Saturday. A suicide note recovered from the house said they were dejected over unemployment as well as not being able to bear a child even after seven years of marriage.The bodies of the deceased — Arunkumar, 41, and Malathi, 38 — were found in a decomposed state. Police suspect that they took the extreme step at least two days ago. After a foul smell came from their house on Padavettamman Street, neighbours called police. Kortattur police broke open the door and found the couple dead.According to the police, a suicide note penned by Malathi said they were upset about being childless. They were also financially struggling due to unemployment. Police are awaiting the postmortem report for further investigation.
