Chennai: Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval had “attacked the youth” of India.Speaking to reporters at Chennai airport, Gandhi accused the trio of turning Delhi into a “prison” and unleashing “BJP goondas” against young protesters. “No matter what they do, the trap is closing in on them. There is no escape because they have conspired against the people, democracy and the Constitution of this country. The entire opposition and the youth are slowly squeezing the space out,” he said.Gandhi also alleged that Modi, Shah and Gyanesh Kumar had “destroyed democracy” and “attacked the heart and soul of the country”. “The youth of this country, boys and girls who have been attacked in Delhi today, and the entire opposition will get justice,” he said. “Mark my words.”
