Namakkal: Traffic was hit on the Pallipalayam – Tiruchengode main road after a goods auto overturned following a head-on collision with a load-laden truck near Pallipalayam in Namakkal district, on Thursday.Police said the goods auto and the truck collided at Odaipalli, causing the auto to lose balance and overturn in the middle of the road. Despite the severity of the accident, no injuries or fatalities were reported, and all those involved were unharmed.However, as the overturned goods auto remained in the middle of the road, traffic movement on the busy stretch came to a halt. Vehicles lined up on both sides of the road, resulting in congestion for over an hour.Kokkarayanpettai police who were alerted, initiated rescue and traffic clearance operations.
