Krishnagiri: An unidentified person set fire to two makeshift stalls opposite the Pochampalli bus stand in Krishnagiri district on Wednesday night.According to police sources, Pattu, 53, of Kulambatti was running a flower stall opposite the bus stand. Nearby, Mahesh, 55, of Vadamalampatti operated a snack stall in a palm-leaf hut.It is alleged that an unidentified person, under the influence of alcohol, set the stalls on fire. “The blaze destroyed around 30 kg of flowers, two pushcarts, two bicycles, weighing scales, and five sacks of snacks,” said an officer at the Pochampally police station.On receiving information, the fire and rescue services personnel rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control. But by then, the stalls had been completely gutted.Police began investigations.
