CHENNAI: Police arrested actress Varshini Venkat, who participated in a TV reality show, for allegedly cheating a man of Rs 5 lakh by promising to produce a short film.According to police, the man gave Varshini Rs 5 lakh after she promised to produce the short film.When he later asked her to repay the money, she allegedly threatened him and snatched Rs 50,000 in cash and two mobile phones from him at Guindy.Police registered a case against Varshini and three others for cheating and snatching.Varshini was subsequently arrested in connection with the case.
