NAMAKKAL: Future recruitments to state transport corporations would be restricted to people born in Tamil Nadu who can read and write Tamil, state transport minister Vijay Tamilan Parthiban said on Saturday.Speaking to reporters in Namakkal, Parthiban rejected allegations about political branding of state-run buses. “Buses carry no emblems, insignia or colour schemes associated with TVK. Their standard liveries remained unchanged,” he said.Parthiban said transport authorities were investigating complaints about private bus operators collecting excess fares from passengers. “Officials are taking action against services found violating the rules,” he said.Parthiban and commercial taxes and registration minister D Lokesh Tamilselvan inaugurated a bus service to Pon Varadaraja Perumal Temple at Nainamalai.
