NAMAKKAL: Two men died and three others suffered injuries after the car they were travelling in rammed a container truck parked on the roadside near Bommaikuttaimedu in Namakkal district in the early hours of Monday.The deceased have been identified as S Karthik, 34, a civil engineer working in Bengaluru, and his friend, V Rohithson, 26, who was driving the car. Both hailed from Ernapuram in the district.Karthik’s brother, Aravind, 32, and his friends, Jithendran, 28, and Jagathratchagan, 32, suffered injuries in the accident.Police said Karthik had returned to his hometown at Ernapuram for Aravind’s engagement. The accident happened when they were returning to Bengaluru.The Nallipalayam police registered a case.
