WABAG Q1 consolidated PAT rises 37% to ₹90 cr; order book hits record ₹19,400 cr

Chennai: VA Tech WABAG’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rose 37% year-on-year to Rs 90.1 crore in the first quarter of FY27 from Rs 65.8 crore in the year-ago period, as the water technology company reported strong revenue growth and robust order inflows.Consolidated revenue from operations grew 21% to Rs 887 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 734 crore, while EBITDA rose 22% to Rs 116.3 crore. The company’s standalone PAT grew 30% to Rs 79 crore, with revenue rising 15% to Rs 739 crore.WABAG secured Rs 3,400 crore of new orders during the quarter, taking its order book to an all-time high of around Rs 19,400 crore, excluding framework contracts. The strong order inflow provides the company with significant revenue visibility, it said.The company won projects across its key markets during the quarter, including a major seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) project in Kuwait and an order in Ajman, marking its entry into the UAE market. In India, WABAG secured new orders from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) and Delhi Jal Board (DJB), while in Europe, it won a project from Donauinsel Water Works in Austria.WABAG maintained its net cash-positive position for the 14th consecutive quarter, with gross cash at Rs 1,082 crore and net cash, excluding hybrid annuity model (HAM) assets, at Rs 965 crore.“We are delighted to start the year with strong international and domestic orders, robust top-line momentum, and strong profitability,” said Rajiv Mittal, cmd, VA Tech WABAG.He said the company continued to adopt a selective approach to bidding while focusing on complex technology-led projects.
