DVAC seizes ₹3.61 lakh unaccounted cash from border check posts near Hosur
The team DVAC recovered ₹2.28 lakh from the Tamil Nadu entry check post and ₹1.33 lakh from the Karnataka exit check post

Krishnagiri: Sleuths from the directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption (DVAC) seized unaccounted cash amounting to ₹3.61 lakh following simultaneous raids at the Jujuvadi border check posts near Hosur on the Tamil Nadu–Karnataka national highway, early on Tuesday morning.The check posts, operated by motor vehicle inspectors, handle vehicles entering Tamil Nadu and those exiting towards Karnataka. Following a tip-off on illegal bribe collections, DVAC teams led by Krishnagiri DSP Jayakumar split into two groups and stormed both check posts at the same time.“During the intensive search of files, registers, and officials on duty, the team recovered ₹2.28 lakh from the Tamil Nadu entry check post and ₹1.33 lakh from the Karnataka exit check post,” said an officer.Officials confirmed that the money was likely bribe collected by the vehicle operators. Motor vehicle inspectors and staff present at the check posts during the raids were subjected to detailed questioning.A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
