32-year-old dies, friend injured in accident
Chennai: A 32-year-old man died, and his friend suffered severe injuries after a lorry hit their motorcycle on the Vandalur-Minjur Outer Ring Road near Kundrathur. The lorry driver, Ramesh Kumar, 43, has been arrested.The victim, identified as Sundar of Ramanathapuram, was travelling from Pallavaram towards Avadi with his friend Suresh, 30, on Saturday night when the lorry rammed their motorcycle from behind.Sundar fell onto the road and was run over by the lorry, killing him on the spot. Suresh, who was riding pillion, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Tambaram Government Hospital by residents. A case has been registered.
