Chennai: Former chief minister and DMK MLA O Panneerselvam on Thursday denied rumours that he was set to join the ruling TVK.Panneerselvam told a news channel that “false information” was being spread that he was going to resign from his MLA post and join TVK. He said he neither has any plan to resign his MLA post nor join TVK.Sources close to Panneerselvam said that his son and former MP O P Ravindranath was unhappy with the DMK leadership for not giving them a party posting, which sparked the rumours.The father-son duo joined DMK in Feb this year in the presence of DMK president M K Stalin after his appeal to AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami to reinduct him in AIADMK was rejected. Panneerselvam was fielded as the party candidate in Bodinayakanur constituency and emerged victorious.
