Chennai: Passengers returning home after a Sunday outing may face inconvenience as Southern Railway will fully and partially cancel several MEMU and EMU services on July 26 and 27 to facilitate engineering works at Gummidipundi Yard in the Chennai Central–Gudur section. A line and power block will be in force from 8pm on July 26 to 1am on July 27.A release said five MEMU services, including Moore Market Complex–Sullurupeta, Sullurupeta–Nellore, Nellore–Sullurupeta, Sullurupeta–Moore Market Complex and Moore Market Complex–Avadi trains, will remain fully cancelled on July 26.In addition, 11 EMU services on July 26 and four services on July 27 will be partially cancelled between stations such as Ennore, Minjur, Ponneri, Gummidipoondi and Tambaram. The affected trains include Moore Market Complex–Gummidipoondi, Chennai Beach–Gummidipoondi, Gummidipoondi–Moore Market Complex, Gummidipoondi–Chennai Beach and Gummidipoondi–Chengalpattu services.
