COIMBATORE: Special trains will be operated between Mangalore Central and Chennai Egmore via Podanur, Tirupur, Erode and Salem to clear extra rush of passengers during the Onam festival season. No. 06126 Mangalore Central–Chennai Egmore special will depart from Mangalore Central at 4pm on Mondays from July 13 to August 31 and reach Chennai Egmore at 10.55am the next day. No. 06125 Chennai Egmore–Mangalore Central special will leave Chennai Egmore at 2pm on Tuesdays from July 14 to Sept 1 and reach Mangalore Central at 8.40am the next day. Each train will operate eight services. The trains will have AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper, general second class and luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will have stoppages at Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Arakkonam.
