Krishnagiri: TASMAC shops in Krishnagiri district remained closed for the second consecutive day on Saturday as employees continued their protest.An agitation was held in front of the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation outlet at Billankuppam village near Veppanahalli, under the banner of the Krishnagiri District TASMAC employees association. Led by state organisation secretary Manickam, the protest highlighted several demands, including regularisation of all employees who have served for over 23 years, proper wage structure for staff, government buy back of empty bottles, job security for workers, and compassionate appointments for family members of deceased employees.Protesters asserted TASMAC shops in the district would not reopen until the Tamil Nadu government fulfils their demands.
