DHARMAPURI: Sixteen passengers suffered injuries when a private bus fell into a roadside pit near Karimangalam in Dharmapuri district on Thursday morning.The accident happened on the Bengaluru – Salem National Highway around 9am when the bus was going from Krishnagiri to Dharmapuri. As the bus approached Ponnery village near Karimangalam, driver M Santosh, 34, of Karimangalam lost control of the vehicle. The bus veered off the road and fell into a pitPolice and residents rescued the injured and sent them to Dharmapuri Government Medical College and Hospital in 108 ambulances. The Karimangalam police registered a case.
