Chennai: Vedanta has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from renewable energy developers and contractors to establish solar power plants integrated with Battery Energy Storage Systems under the Build-Own-Operate or Build-Own-Operate-Transfer model across three locations in Tamil Nadu.The company plans to utilise its available land assets at the three sites for renewable energy generation and storage, with the option to sell power. The proposed project involves setting up 100 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity at distributed locations, with an optional centralised Battery Energy Storage System of 240 MWh.
