Namakkal: Two youths died after a private bus rammed their two-wheeler near Rasipuram in Namakkal district early on Sunday morning.The deceased have been identified as K Suganeshwaran, 25, of Attayampatty in Salem district, who worked as a manager in a private finance company; and S Muthamizh, 25, who was employed at an IT firm in Coimbatore.Police said the duo were heading towards Andagalur Gate to pick up a friend’s father, when the accident occurred. The private bus, which was heading from Bengaluru to Kerala, rammed the two-wheeler on the Salem–Namakkal National Highway near Muthukkalipatty junction. “The collision was so forceful that it dragged the bike for nearly 500 metres before coming to a halt, both youths were crushed and died on the spot,” said a police officer from Rasipuram station.Police recovered the bodies and sent them to the Rasipuram Government Hospital for postmortem.A case has been registered, and an investigation is on to determine the exact cause of the accident.
