Chennai: Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu praised the TVK govt for quickly approving his school without “demanding” bribe. The statement on social media invited sharp reactions from DMK and an equally strong defence from BJP and TVK.In his post, Vembu claimed, “The school faced delays getting approval from the previous government. Of course, significant money was demanded and we were told that was the only way, even if it’s a completely free school. After actor Vijay came to power, approvals have happened quickly and automatically.”The post went viral as both right-wing groups and TVK supporters amplified it, underscoring Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay’s administration as a guarantee of clean, corruption-free governance. Meanwhile, DMK supporters hit back at Vembu, claiming that his post had a hidden agenda. Some DMK supporters countered the post, demanding that he produce evidence to substantiate his claims, calling it fake rhetoric. They also charged that it was a malicious campaign fuelled by the right wing.
