Abelardo De La Espriella has won Colombia’s presidential election, defeating Senator Ivan Cepeda in a closely fought contest. His victory returns Colombia to the political right after four years under outgoing President Gustavo Petro, the country’s first left-wing President, who was barred by the Constitution from seeking re-election.
