COIMBATORE: The Salem division of Southern Railway has made special arrangements to facilitate the candidates appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) on Sunday. There are seven towns in the jurisdiction of Salem division where NEET will be conducted. They are Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Ooty , Namakkal and Karur. Special arrangements have been made across the division, including operation of special trains, to facilitate smooth movement of candidates. Two special trains – one from Chinna Salem to Salem Jn and the other from Tirupattur to Salem Jn – will be operated on Sunday to facilitate candidates appearing for the NEET. Traffic at important level crossing gates will be monitored and regulated to avoid road congestion and ensure smooth movement of candidates to examination centres. Helpdesks will be available at Salem Jn, Erode Jn, Tirupur, Coimbatore Jn, Udagamandalam, Namakkal and Karur Jn railway stations to provide travel related information and assistance to candidates.
