COIMBATORE: The Karumbukadai police in the city on Thursday arrested two youths on charges of possessing pain killer tablets. The arrested have been identified as A Santhosh, 19 of Muthugounden Pudur near Sulur and M Chandan Kumar, 26 of Madukkarai Market.Acting on info about drug pills sales, the Karumbukadai police rushed to the Puttu Vikki Road and conducted a search. They found two youths standing near Jalakandeswarar temple. On questioning them, police found that they were in possession of pain killer tablets. Police seized 1,448 tablets from them and took them to the police station.Investigations revealed that the duo had travelled to Rajasthan and procured the tablets. They were planning to sell tablets to people including students.Police registered a case against the duo. They were remanded in judicial custody.
